Description

Dory's ideal home

Dory is full of beans and raring to go! She is looking for adopters who are active and with lots of love to give. She is a bit of a social butterfly, so would suit social adopters, Dory can live with children 10 years and over who can play nicely with her and understand that she can get a little overexcited. Dory can live with another playful dog of a similar size and would be able to live with caged pets. Dory is happy to greet dogs out on walks when she sees them and would be happy to have walking buddies to go on adventures with. Dory has been living in foster care whilst waiting for her forever home, so she is housetrained, so a garden is not necessary but would be beneficial as she loves to sniff and explore. Dory is happy to be left for a few hours, but we would recommend building up to this up after she is settled into her new home. Dory has a skin allergy, which she eats special food for, and takes medication. Dory will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property from a private landlord, please have written permission ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.

Could you be Dory's perfect match?

Bubbly and cuddly Dory is a super friendly 7 year old French Bulldog! This little lady loves a tennis ball and will happily play fetch. Dory, perhaps should have been called "Dora", as she is definitely an explorer, she loves to sniff and explore her surroundings. After a great adventure she likes nothing more than a cuddle and a snooze on the sofa, she is an absolute dream and will be the perfect addition to her new family!

Frenchie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a French Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
