Max's ideal home

Max can live with children of high school age and cats, but he is not socialised enough to live with another dog. He is house trained and can be left alone for four hours or so without worry.

Could you be Max's perfect match?

Max is a smashing little chap who loves his food, toys and walks! He's always happy and excited but can be very strong on his lead once he starts going so his adopters must be sure they can handle this, and willing to work on some loose lead walking with him. He's already doing very well at the centre and will focus on his handler for tasty treats. Max can also be very reactive towards other dogs, even though he lived with one. He just doesn't know how to behave appropriately and becomes overwhelmed and although he has potential, we don't believe this is the right time to rehome him with another dog. Some slow introductions to calm friends for walks would be good for him to help give him confidence and boost his social skills. Max loves play time and running around with his toys and teddies are his favourites.
