About This Dog for Adoption

Rocco's ideal home

Rocco would suit a moderate to quieter household with a consistent routine. He can be sensitive to handling and is still building confidence in new environments. A calmer home with access to quieter walking areas will help him settle and reduce over‑excited behaviours.

Rocco can live with children aged 8 and over, both resident and visiting.
This is due to excitable behaviours and his generally boisterous greeting style.

A home committed to ongoing training would be beneficial to Rocco, particularly focusing on loose lead walking, reducing over‑arousal, and confidence around harness handling.

Rocco may have ongoing medical needs, which could lead to additional costs. We will discuss the full details with you if your application is shortlisted.

Rocco should be the only dog in the home. He can find it difficult to disengage from other dogs, and shows signs of stress around other dogs at a distance. He could live with a cat, based on history and lack of predatory behaviour, though this will depend on the individual cat and careful introductions supported by the team.

Could you be Rocco's perfect match?

Rocco is a handsome two-year-old French Bulldog. He has been enjoying his time in foster whilst he awaited and recovered from BOAS surgery to improve his breathing. During his time in foster care, he has been completely housetrained.

In his previous home, he was left for long periods of time; his owner reported that he would toilet in the house during that period of time. We are looking for a home with leaving hours of up to 4 hours once he has settled.

Rocco can become restless during car travel so he may need some further help and support in this area.

He is a very affectionate boy who loves spending time with people and soaking up as much attention as possible. He also likes playing with his toys. Rocco isn't a huge fan of the rain; he would love a home that enjoys fair weather walks in sunshine, but would also be quite happy skipping a few wet walks for a snuggle day on the sofa.
