About This Dog

Winnie's ideal home

Winnie is a gorgeous 7-year-old French Bulldog looking for a home where she can enjoy all of life's little luxuries. She is not able to live with another dog as she does not gain much from their company and would much prefer to have her favourite humans all to herself. On walks, Winnie is friendly with other dogs but will mostly ignore them, choosing instead to focus on enjoying her stroll.

Winnie could live with secondary school aged children who can give her space when she needs it, whilst also showering her with the love and attention she adores. She is not a very active girl and would much rather spend her day curled up on your lap enjoying plenty of cuddles.

Could you be Winnie's perfect match?

Winnie forms strong bonds with her people and can sometimes find it difficult when they are not around, although she has previously been left for 3 to 4 hours. She is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out by scratching at the door.

Having enjoyed a life of luxury, Winnie is used to sleeping on her owner's bed and loves nothing more than being close to her people. She enjoys her gentle strolls and is looking for a home that can help her continue her weight-loss journey. Winnie is looking for a quiet retirement home where she can enjoy all the attention she deserves, with a few gentle walks and plenty of cuddle breaks throughout the day.

Winnie has so much love to give and will make a wonderful addition to her new home. We can't wait to see her settled in, enjoying all the affection, comfort and cuddles that come with being part of a loving family.

This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
