About This Dog

Hagrid's ideal home

This charming lad is Hagrid, our 1 year old Chihuahua X Frenchie! He’s a little unsure about the big wide world and would love a patient family to help him build his confidence. Because he feels nervous about meeting new people, Hagrid would like it if any children at home were at least older primary school aged and happy to take things at his pace. The rule of thumb with this little guy is to go nice and slow – once Hagrid has learned that he can trust you not to overwhelm him, he’ll be your best friend in no time. Hagrid would prefer to be the only dog in the home, as he didn’t get along with another dog he used to live with. He’s doing a great job taking calm on-lead walks with small calm dogs, and he’d love to continue working on his doggy social skills with his new owners. We’re excited to see Hagrid thriving with his forever family!

Could you be Hagrid's perfect match?

Hagrid is a young boy with lots to learn! He isn’t housetrained just yet but he’s a super foodie boy, so a few tasty treats will help him to pick up all sorts of training! He travels well in the car and he walks well on his lead, making him an ideal companion for quiet, sniffy adventures. Hagrid settles fairly well by himself and once he’s had time to get used to his new home, he could be left home alone for up to 4 hours. Hagrid is a true sweetheart and we know that with a little love and patience, he’ll make a wonderful addition to his forever home.
