About This Dog for Adoption

Odin's ideal home

Odin is looking for a relaxed home that can give him all the love, fun and attention he deserves and the training he needs to thrive! He is still quite young and has shown us that when interacting with other dogs he still has a few things to learn as doesn’t always read other dogs well and he can be a little over the top when playing and when sharing things like toys, so although he can have walking buddies, he would be best suited as the only dog in his home so that he can relax and unwind in his space. Odin can live with sensible children aged 16 years and over who will interact nicely with him and give him space when he needs it. He cannot live with small furries or cats. Odin is very eager to explore on his walks and so is mostly at the end of his lead when out on his walkies. Due to his size, this is manageable but his new family may want to work on his loose lead walking once he goes home. When it comes to training, he knows a few of his basics but adopters should be prepared to take him back to basics, including housetraining. He is eager to learn and copes best with short, fun training sessions with high value treats. He will need his own private and secure garden for pottering, playing and for his housetraining. He is a little bit wriggly and wiggly with formal handling, so a gentle approach will be best for him, especially while he is settling in and getting to know his new family. When it comes to spending time on his own, this will need to be introduced gradually once he is fully settled in but he should be able to manage a couple of hours at a time once he is used to his routine. Odin will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.

Could you be Odin's perfect match?

Odin is a dinky, fun and friendly little 16 month old French Bulldog who is bursting with character! Once he gets to know you, this boy is a really loving and cuddly boy who lives fusses and back scratches. He is super fun and playful, enjoying chasing all his toys and is especially fond of chasing a lure toy! He loves going on sniffy adventures in our woods and having a big run about in our big field! His favourite treat is a little bit of primula squeezy cheese and this is a great way to engage him in short training sessions to teach him new things! Odin really is a brilliant little guy and with time, patience, training and love, he will make such a fabulous and fun addition to a lucky family!

Frenchie Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a French Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Frenchie Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
